Anderson Bailey was born and raised in Murfreesboro, TN. He studied ceramics at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM and at the Appalachian Center for Crafts, part of Tennessee Technological University. Bailey earned a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in ceramics.

“My work is inspired by a love for the material, and my goal is to create functional objects full of life and animation,” Bailey states. “A function is necessary to create a more intimate relationship between the object and its user.”
