Mark Derby lives and works in New Orleans. Derby Pottery manufactures Victorian reproduction tile in the spirit of the great Studio Art potteries of the past. Each piece is hand pressed, hand finished and inspected for quality. Mark strives for historically accurate glaze colors and finishes in his pallet including blues, greens, ambers, creams, and bone. His Victorian tiles recapture the lost art of a patterned relief tile enhanced by a colored transparent glaze, soft matte glazes, and crackle glaze.
